Let me see if I can answer a few of the questions. I'm a second semester student. It may be a little harder to find a house with the dogs but it shouldn't be too bad. Depending on where on the island you live and if you go studio or 1 bedroom apartment rent can be anywhere from about 300 to 600 a month. Most places are about $400.
As for the stafford loan you can ge one but you have to do this fielding program that gets you a masters in administration it focuses on health care. I'm currently in this program and I hate it. It's a big pain in the ass and I feel a waste of time, but it gets me money so I do it. There is the terri loan also and we recently were apptoved for the Med Acheiver loan this is the other loan that I use, its better than terri.

There are several ways you can make calls on saba. You can buy a cell phone and use that, all incomming calls are free to you. This is what I did, I'd just e-mail people and tell them to call me. You can also get a line in any apartment, the catch here is you have to put a 500 dollar deposit down on but you get it back when you leave the island. You can aslo just buy phone cards and use the pay phone. I think the best way to go is to get the line. I like having the cell phone but I can't call any of my fiends on the island as I didn't put any money on the phone oce the original 20 bucks they give you ran out.
