Here are my stats: I am a senior at Indiana University and will be graduating this May with my BS in Biology. I have a total cum GPA of ~ 3.0 it fluctuates up and down depending on the semester. I have had 4 years of clinical/physician shadowing experience. I have also had 3 years of Biomedical science research here at IU. I have had alot of volunteer work also.
The interview: The interview was very laid back. They ask you the typical questions: Why an MD? What have you done to prepare for this? Experience? Shadowing? They just want to get to know a little bit more about you. They let you do alot of the talking and then tell you about SABA, the curriculum and clinicals. Thats it, it lasts about 20 min via conference call if you are not close enough to interview at the Gardner MA officies. I recieved my acceptance packet about 2-3 weeks later.
Hope this helps. Take it easy and good luck.
Apply early I have heared the biggest problem is that classes fill up.
