Saba is a great option for you. Honestly though I would consider taking organic 2 and take the MCAT since your cum is so high and apply to US schools as well as Saba. The nice thing about Saba is that you can be honest with them and with your intentions and beleive me they hold nothing against you if you attempt to get into a US school or even transfer from Saba to a US school. Saba now gets enough qualified applicants for their seats where they can start being selective about who they admit and are more than helpful to students who want to transfer to a US school. Saba got where it got in just 10 years by being honest with the students. If you go to a Carribean school though you need to be geographically flexible with clinical rotations and also be proactive in getting your electives. I had a conversation with Dr. Fredrick on Saba (although it was almost 2 years ago), where he told me that there is no question that if you score high on the boards and can get into a US school then do it for sure. That is honesty coming from a guy who truly wants the best for his students. I have 2 boys, and if they want to go to medschool and dont get into the US system I assure you I will send them to Saba without reservation. Its interesting that if you go back only 3 years on this message board for saba that you would see all of these negative posts. Sure every once in awhile someone has a beef and perhaps a legitimate one but if there is any doubt about Saba's success go to saba.edu and look at the residency list. And keep in mind that many of those students are now doing fellowships in cardiology, (accepted into opthomology residencies), and the like and are not even reflected on those lists.
