As I remember it, Lucy was dressed in nothing but a nightshirt, attended by her maid who was sent outside accompanied by lucy's brother while her father caned her. I remember two strokes landing, Lucy's face being shown for two strokes, and two strokes being heard from outside the door. After the caning Lucy remained stoic until her father had left, and then broke down crying comforted by her maid. I think it was a pretty good scene of it's type and time.
