It was a rare spanking moment over here, "When the Sword Divided", screened. It may have been caning but it was something. Miss Aston played her part well. I think there was dialogue her maid had been chastised as well for helping her scheme to dodge her arranged groom. I thought it was the 1st. episode? After that, they got on with Cromwell's antics, the Roundheads, Civil wars & all that. Perhaps the 1st. 2 episodes didn't make it to Aus?
A few years back, there was another moment with parallels from another English mini-series which I have never re-encountered. The theme of the mini-series was I think based around the occult. It was set on a movie set where a film was being made about witchcraft. Making this film seemed to summon some demons.
Anyway, to the spanking, or should I say caning. One attactive actress was shooting a scene where she was playing a servant. She had done some misdeed so her mistress elected to discipline her severely. She was chased down a garden path and caught. The rod swished for a few strokes as she cried, "Mercy, Mistress Meg.", in kneeling (?) with her hands outstretched. Throughout the series, she played a flirtaceous, cheeky part.
It's caning & F/F, (sorry Princess), but the prettiness & spirited performance of the attress made all the difference. Anyone know of the series name or any relevant actress names? Could it be this one was banished along with the evil spirits it conjoured?,
