The best I can do is recall one moment I mentioned yonks back when a late night Channel 7 news report referred to a Queensland newspaper article back about 10 years ago. Queensland is a state in N.E. Australia.
The report was delivered by the sophisticated & stunningly beautiful Jennifer Kyte reading to a live audience. The news item reported on an article on the front page of a leading Brisbane newspaper. Jennifer reported it read that a leading Queensland polititian was in legal trouble for, "Putting her over his knee & spanking her." The recipient was an attractive woman with whom the male pollie had a serious relationship. (Note the past tense!)
What was great was hearing the way the prim & proper jennifer stressed the word, "Spanking", after a slight pause during a news service. What was equally great was the excited way the audience reacted with a chorus of, "Whoa", & jubilant 'wolf whistling'. (How often do you hear a reaction like that to the news service!) That Aussie crowd was a normal cross-section of folk but was obviously ladened with plenty of spankos. Spanking is perhaps more mainstram than we are led to believe. (Anyone else found this to be the case?)
I searched the South Australian papers with gusto subsequently to find any reference particularly keen for a photo of the spankee but, alas, what was front page in Queensland didn't rate a mention over here! (Would you read about it!) [=Aussie expression of frustration.]
Another article I once read regarding a man landing in hot water for spanking his lady involved eccentric English Cricket buff, Sir Henry Blowfeld. It seems Sir Henry got into a blazing row with his then fiance, so he took it upon himself to give her a rollicking good OTK spanking. To good, I'm afraid. Not only did this lead to her braking off the engagement, she marched straight to the Police presenting her derriere as 'Exhibit A'. (Always wondered why it was called an exhibit?! Get it, she 'exhibited' her behind so it became 'Exhibit A'! Oh well, never mind, there goes my career as a stand up comic!) Anyone know more of this incident? Any descriptions or pics of Sir Henry's former fair young maiden? Sir Henry must learn there is a time to spank & a time not to!,
