DOESN'T WANT TO BE SPANKED AGAIN
To the Editor:
I agree with Grace Smith when she says it is mean to put in such a letter as that of "Parent". I have never been whipped in my life, but when I did some trifling wrong yesterday mamma referred to the the letter and told me she was going to try his advice, so sending me to my room, she came up and laid me across her knee and employed her slipper to my geat pain and discomfort for about seven minutes. Gracious! I could hardly sit down afterwards. Now I think that was just awful for a girl of fifteen. I just wish "Parent" could have felt that stinging as I did; I don't think he would advise people to do it if he had any pity. Anyhow I don't want to be spanked again.
