Does anybody out there remember seeing a 1997 TV movie (I forgot on which network it was: either Lifetime or USA or one of those family-drama-oriented networks)?
Movie title: "Before Women Had Wings," with Ellen Barkin, Oprah Winfrey,
and little Tina Majorino.
At one point, Barkin (playing the mom) guides Majorino (her daughter) into the
bedroom, flops her down on the bed, and proceeds to give her a whipping (a short half-dozen or so whacks with a belt, with the child tearfully pleading.)
If anybody remembers seeing this (and remembers what network broadcasted
that movie that night), I'd appreciate it. (Want to give proper credit.)
