I have to agree with boom on this. Even the great wrestlers Bret "The Hitman" Hart & Ric Flair admitted that wrestling was "scripted."

I like combat sports. Boxing is my favorite sport, but I also like wrestling & Japanese sumo wrestling.
The sport of wrestling is, as boom points out, still an extremely physical sport. Those who expect to reach the top of the mountain, must literally go through hell to get there...
Those who believe the "scripted" wrestling to be something they can compare to cheap soap operas better think again ! These soap operas mostly stars mediocre actors & actresses under the direction of directors of the same standard. No offense.
The Superstars of Wrestling, by which I mean the top names, are by no standard mediocre... Even the lesser performers are incredible talents.
Try to supersede the deeply ingrained prejudice many have against these shows one time, and watch a top show at least once and look carefully at the wrestler's, as boom points out, "strength, stamina, and acrobatic
skills, which is definitely real." I'd like to see any other athletes from different sports try to do the same thing...
People don't have to like wrestling, but if they're honest, they've must be impressed by 300-400 pund athletes' ability to leap through the ring, jumping at each other, kicking, hitting and all the other things they do - without hurting either themselves or their appononents... Even though tragedies do appear here as everywhere else.
This is Entertainment ! Big time !
Too bad I've never seen any spankings in wrestling, except for some scenes in Cinema Swats. But, that's life, isn't it ?
