I have to admit I have a soft spot for stills of celebrity females being spanked - for example:
Ann-Margret being spanked by her uncle in 1961
The Dean Martin/Angie Dickenson pose for Rio Bravo in 1959
Does anyone know of others? I heard that that there is a photo about leggy beauty singer/actress Mitzi Gaynor being mock spanked by her hubby and another one of action star Rory Calhoun spanking his wife. I am sure there are other gems out there which hopefully emerge on the net.

Sex In The City

Looking for something in a hotel room late last night in Salt Lake I watched re-runs of something on HBO called "Sex in the City". About 4 single NYC girls. Star is Jessica Parker who was in "Dirty Dancing" years ago. This session was about her 35th birthday. Don't remember her character's name. Her friends stood her up at her party, she had to pay for her cake, dropped in in a construction zone etc. Got to yer apartment and a guy in a lemo with balloons was at the curb. She knows him. She gets in lemo and drinks wine.

He puts her over his knee in the lemo. Her bottom is seen clearly in the street light. He pats her bottom 34 times in full view. Very gently. Last one is pretty hard. She is laughing up to the last spank. Then she gets out of car and goes up stairs. Pretty nifty.

Right after than is a re-run of Jay Leno who is doing a bit on Bush's daughters and drinking. He cuts in a take where Bush is introducing his wife as a speaker. She walks up to the stage and he reaches down and spanks her on the bottom. She is surprised but goes on and begins to speak.

What a night. All by accident too.

No Such SITC Episode?

Are you playing with us, or what? I saw that episode of Sex in the City - in fact, I taped it. I went back and reviewed it after reading your post. There is no spanking in that episode. In fact, it's exactly as you describe it until you get to the spanking - it's not there. Are you playing with us, or what? Maybe Salt Lake City gets a more risque version of Sex in the City than they show in Manhattan, but somehow, I doubt it. And a spanking as you describe it wouldn't even be in synch with the story line, since the two characters have stopped being lovers months before and this is just a friendly "hello" encounter.

Bumpkin, are you dreaming? Or are you just having fun with your chatmates? I watched that "Sex in the City" episode too, and there was NO spanking, patting, or anything remotely close to that sort of thing. More's the pity.

I didn't catch the Leno show, but I do remember that at Bush's inauguration, he gave Laura two husbandly pats on the First Derriere. It was all just sweet and matter-of-fact, nothing to rave about.

I am not your "chatmate" by any stretch of the imagination. Just cruising and sharing something that I saw. Came back one time to see if anybody else saw it. I see from looking at this site that you two are "experts" and dominate the discussion. Sort of the "answer man and lady" on old spanking movies. One selling spanking tapes (honestly now!) and I don't know what the other is selling. Your "let's pretend" discussions about who spanks who are a hoot - - do you call each other up and agree on this dialog or are you both really in the 5th grade? My gosh, what glory there must be in being "experts" in something - - but spanking? Really, get a life!!! Give New People a Chance!!

I am a loyal follower of this site and just because I don't share on this site should not be interpreted as meaning I don't know anything about movies. I have noticed that the "regulars" are pretty hard on new people who want to share something. I have not seen the HBO piece but I did see the Bush swat in passing. I think the "regulars" gang up on anybody new (And I am sure I will get shouted down as well). Could it be that two versions of the HBO program exist? Why would we not ask the contributor to provide information that we can follow-up on and see if we could get some new information into our data base. We do sort through the same stories and pictures all the time and say that the spanking topic should get more emphasis and the like. Then, when somebody new comes on, we just treat them very badly. In fact, we call them liars and accuse them of making things up. Why would anybody want to add value to this site if we behave like this? It is true that a few people are viewed as "experts" on everything to do with spanking. I catch errors from time to time but don't hammer down on the mistakes but assume people are human.

I don't like where this is going. I'm sure you will find some way to tell me I am "nuts" as well. But I think someone who said they are "cruising" and shared something need not be told they are dishonest because that is what this person was told. Could it be that more than one version of things exist? I don't see any gain from fibbing about something like this for the contributor. And then we have someone follow-up and essentialy say, "well, our experts certainly discredited that new contributor". Pretty soon it will be just the "experts" havinging something to say and everyone else being afraid to share anything for fear they will get negative accusations thrown at them. Remember, this is supposed to be fun and not a matter of life and death. Perhaps the person is right that we should "get a life" if we take ourselves that seriously.

Think about it!!!!

Where Have All The Experts Gone??

Have you noticed that the "experts" disappear on topics like this? All they really want to do is re-hash discussions about pictures that have been around for years or talk with each other about how things should change in movies as it relates to spanking. When will Dan Rivera stop using the fact that he does not have a scanner as a reason he won't post any pictures? Scanners are really cheap and anybody who could capture the clips he developed from movies and TV should have no problem. The REAL reason is that he wants to sell tapes and use his comments on sites to be viewed as an expert so we will say, "Oh,Dan this and that" and "Please, Dan, will you re-hash this old movie for me."

Hi RED... In the Wagon Train TV series, Susan Oliver was indeed spanked, but not by John McIntyre. The spanker was Robert Horton, and that scene is one of the all-time great OTK treats -- in part because Ms. Oliver was so very convincing in her role as, first, a spoiled brat; then, a would-be killer; and finally, as a thoroughly chastised, crying penitent.

John McIntyre did do some spanking when he came on board as wagonmaster later on in the series. As I recall, he spanked both a boy and a girl. The girl was played by the late Deborah Walley.

Hi wondering... Though I don't have any behind-the-scenes info on this one, I'd say that simply from what we see with our eyes, this was one very real spanking. You're right, the last four swats were especially hard. And please note, Ms. DeCarlo's leather skirt was not "bunched up" in the back, to afford her any sort of protection; no, it clung nicely to her delectable rear end. I'm guessing she felt every swat.

If you haven't seen this film, it may be instructive to note that that final spanking was the extention of a theme sounded early in the movie. You see, the couple's little girl (played by 6-year-old Beverly Simmons) was a terrible, undisciplined brat until her screen pa, Rod Cameron, decides to put her over his knee for a good spanking. She cries, but then realizes that her dad only spanked her because he loves her. That's why, in the finale, after Cameron spanks the mother, little Beverly says: "Daddy -- you spanked Mommy. That means you LOVE HER!"

Hi Dan,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I’m with you, the final
spanking scene looks real. I also noted Ms. DeCarlo’s voice changed during the
final 4 swats - much more agonizing. She also seemed to flinch more. It was also
difficult for Ms. DeCarlo to move as Ron Cameron had her in a fairly tight hold
with his right arm across her back and then holding her elbow - not much chance
to escape.

The scenes leading up to both spanking scenes were rather funny as well. (The
slapping & kissing as the main characters head up the stairs in the saloon,
“trashing the hide out” and the child pitching whatever she could lay her hands
on!!!) Maybe the spankings were a result of all the shin kicks and face slaps Mr.
Cameron had to endure during filming.

Do you know if Mr. Cameron had any children of his own? I haven’t been able to
find this piece of info out.

Forgetting Movie Spankings

Maybe De Carlo never mentioned the spanking because she was terrified that hordes of feminists might descend upon her and lynch her for talking about it.

Actually, she probably never mentioned it 'cause she never thought about it. It's likely that only for us spankophiles do movie spankings loom large in memory. When I finally came "out" to my vanilla husband, I asked him about various movies that he had seen over the years that had spankings in them. Though he confirmed seeing the movies, he didn't recall the spankings at all, even in Kiss Me Kate, in which the spanking is a sort of pivotal part of the plot. He had only a vague recollection of it, though he remembered the story was based on onstage conflict between stars who were ex spouses.

Have you ever seen the posed picture of Gary Cooper being directed by Lubitsch in the scene where he is supposed to spank Claudette Colbert in "Bluebeard's Eighth Wife"? The two stars are posed there, with Colbert over Cooper's lap while Lubitsch looks on and gestures - well, it's decidedly unexciting. Although Colbert is as lovely as ever and is wearing a gorgeous frothy gown, the effect of watching the staging - even though the photo itself is posed - removed all excitement for me. It sure looked like it was all in a day's work for them.

How lucky the star(s) must have been who gave or received a spanking and really and truly was a genuine spankophile.

Forgetting Movie Spankings

I remember reading something Claudette said about filming "Bluebeard's Eighth Wife," where she said doing the spanking took all day and she mainly remembered how bony Gary's knees got after a while.

As far as production stills go, there is a shot of Cecil B. DeMille demonstrating how Paulette Goddard should be spanked for "Northwest Mounted Police." It's always hard to tell from a still photo, or course, but he sure looks like he's having fun.

There have been countless performances of Kiss Me, Kate, and yet, I've never read anything about what it was like to participate in that spanking scene (except for one story Kathryn Grayson told about hiding a board in her dress so that Howard Keel would hurt his hand). I'd like to know whether James Grant wrote the spanking scene for McLintock at John Wayne's insistence, and how many takes they did. I'd like to know whether there was something between DeMille and Goddard or whether the spankings she got in movies he directed were strictly business.

You say you'd like to read what participants in a movie or stage spanking had to say about it. Well, in her autobiography, "All My Sins Remembered," (the title is a quote from Shakespeare) Elaine Barry tells us that one of the reasons she quit the stage show "My Dear Children" is that her then spouse and co-star, John Barrymore, was "going too far" in the spanking scene.

And you mention Kathryn Grayson's story about putting a board under her dress when Howard Keel went to spank her. Let me tell you, Boom, she tells that story every chance she gets! I have heard her tell it three times now -- twice on TV, once in person.

Paulette Goddard once told a nationwide radio audience about the time Ray Milland spanked her, in "Reap the Wild Wind." Provoked quite a lot of laughter from the audience. Apparently they hadn't seen the film. The occasion was the old Lux Radio Hour on CBS radio.

It was for "Dear Ruth." The spanking didn't make it into the film, however, so Eddie injured his hand for nothing. (Except the pleasure of spanking Mona, of course.)

They also produced a publicity still for "Dear Brat," one of two sequels, but that spanking didn't get into the film, either.

I got spanked surfing this website...

I'm a 28 year old English woman. Last week I had a characteristic experience... I was home visiting my Grandmother. She's a practising participant in a congregation, and deeply religious. She has a computer, but I really don't know what she uses it for.

As I said, she's deeply religious - she even oppose to me working in a pub... Anyway, she was out, and I logged into her computer and quickly visited Arilds Movie Spanking List, which I often do, and I didn't hear her coming in.

She asked me what I was looking at, and when she realised it was a spanking website, she went mad ! She gave me a thorough scolding for using her computer to watch such "filth," and then she pinched my earlobe and lead me downstairs to the living room. She's much stronger than me, and I had to walk obediently by her side with my arms hanging down by my sides, as she lead me downstairs by my earlobe... It hurt and it was humiliating !

To put a long story short, she put me across her knees, pulled down my jeans and my underwear and gave me a long spanking with her hand over my bare backside...

So there it is... One can say I really suffered for this website I love so much. My Grandmother is very old-fashioned and in her mind, she probably thinks she did the right thing, punishing me for watching such "filth," but as a grown woman of 28, I should, even in her mind, be allowed to watch whatever I choose - but not her on HER computer...

I can realize now why my late Gradfather, who was always talking about boxing, football and the old days of World War II in my company, always was so meek in her company... She probably tended to his bare backside more than once

Anyway, you may shake your head in disbelief, thinking this entire story a lot of rubbish, but you have my word - every word is true ! Nobody spanks me for surfing his website at my home - not even my husband - and both of us love this website.

But I can imagine what he'd get if he did it...so my sweetish husband is not allowed to risk his deliciously beautiful little backside surfing this website on my big, strong Grandmother's computer
