Jesus tells doubting Thomas to touch him: "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless but believing" (John 20:28). Jesus wanted to prove to Thomas that his glorified body was real, that he was no ghost or apparition, but that he had indeed risen from the dead.
