FALSE! The INC does NOT consider the dead first-century Christians as the true Church of Christ just a it does not count dead members as members of the INC. A member is taken off the list of members when the membr dies!
Apostle Paul called the first-century Christians in Corinth the "body" or "church" of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27) and the first-century Christians in Rome the "body" or "church" of Christ (Rom. 12:4-5).
If they ceased to be the true "church" of Christ when they died, who are those "dead in Christ" who will rise to meet Jesus in the air when he comes (1 Thes. 4:16)?
The truth is, the first-century Christians were the true "church" of Christ and remains the true "church" of Christ to this day. | |
