Response to Thomas is classic troll

Jesus said "God is spirit"--that is without flesh and bones

That means, at that very moment Jesus said those words, God still remains true to his statement which says "I am God, and not man" because He still is a spirit--without flesh and bones.

Also, it would make Jesus a liar for saying "God is spirit" if in fact God has flesh and bones.

Man dies body and soul. His spirit returns to God who gave it.

Ecc 12:7 KJV: Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecc 12:7 NAB: And the dust returns to the earth as it once was, and the life breath returns to God who gave it.

Ecc 12:7 GW: Then the dust of mortals goes back to the ground as it was before, and the breath of life goes back to God who gave it.

Psa 119:25 NRSV: My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word.

Psa 44:25 NASB: For our soul has sunk down into the dust; Our body cleaves to the earth.

  1. God is a spirit, but in addition could have had flesh and bones. Look at 1 Cor. 15:45, - Tomas on May 20, 2017, 4:07 PM
