Response to Re: The Bible is clear that there will come a time when we will be instructed by God,
From the assembly fellowship of the brethren as shared to those called
at this point in time. Eventually then possibly to be chosen and would
be converted and become as little children.
One of the preludes from GOD's written Words as HE IDENTIFIES and REVEALS
HIMSELF to HIS chosen after they were converted into like little children.
Now He Rebukes and Accuses “ professing Christians ”
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and
they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39)
Perhaps the biggest question bothering the minds of many people is the
identity of God. People all over the world speak of God. They describe
Him as the Creator, the Savior, the Almighty, the Most High, the Majestic
Being, the All in All, etc. They give Him name as Allah, Bathala, Zeus, etc.
People believing in the Holy Bible identify Him as: Yahweh, Jehovah, Yeshua,
Father, “I am that I am”, The Almighty, Lord, Rose of Sharon, Lily of the
Valley, El Shaddai, Jesus Christ, etc.
Traditional Christianity describes God as: A Spirit, infinite, eternal, and
unchangeable – in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness,
The need to know God
Of course, plain and obvious :
◾Can we believe somebody that we are not familiar with?
◾Can we trust him that we do not know or clearly recognize?
◾Can love develop unless clear identification is mutual?
In the Holy Bible, this is what we read as regards the need to identify God.
His rebuke is directed to His own people. We are reminded of the (multitudes)
5,000 men that Jesus Christ fed with “bread and fishes” and He called them
However, when our Lord began speaking “spiritual things”:
John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said,
This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
These Disciples left Him for they did not understand what He was saying and
so his admonition:
Jeremiah 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are
sottish children, and they have none understanding…
Therefore, the warning to everybody at Judgment Day:
Luke 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy
presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are;
depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall
see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom
of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
And to the Religious Leaders claiming to know Jesus Christ:
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name [Jesus Christ]? and in thy name [Jesus Christ]
have cast out devils? and in thy name [Jesus Christ] done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.
God emphasizes iniquity as if it is more serious than sin. From the tenor of God’s
rebuke, it is for “not knowing Him”.
john 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins:
for if ye believe not that I am he , ye shall die in your sins .
