Hi Henry thanks for the excellent detail, I have added this to my site with appropriate source of course.
I have already uninstalled MSP6 but others will try it.
COMMENTS:
Gareth: since you are still in MSP6, this would seem to be an excellent process to try if it gets around the re capture from the DV master, in my view it is a BUT......
In my experience with MSP6 it will still, in a WE98SE system, require joint joinable files that allow music across the joint to be un noticed in sound level or without missing notes and I struggled with that as MSP6 is not frame accurate at the joining face when "creating" either providing more than one frame at the end (repeated last frame) or actually missing frames at the start of a "create" which I was only able to overcome by placing black front and back so that the problem occurred in the balck and could fixed by editing in P6 or 5.1 None of that with P6 as a base, plus P6 is a far better edit program to work with.
The quality of the image from MC Type 2 VfW or MC Type 2 and 12c would need checking against this method of authoring with a Type 1 file as a base.
Thanks, I am sure MSP6 users will take it up if they are seriously staying with Ulead.
