Some standalone players do not like CDR media.
Also if there is any fault in the mpeg file it could happen (especially on some stuff that traveled via Internet before being burned to the CDR)
I had same problem and solution was fine-adjustment of DVD laser.
That should be done by somebody in approved workshop otherwise laser can be damaged.
Now is everything ok....!
