Hi I'm looking for this tool to convert avi to svcd.

Use Pinnacle Studio DV 7 (or 8) whih allows you to convert *.avi to DVD,vcd or svcd

stay away from studio, great easy to understand program for basic editing but absolutely crap at making mpeg's of any kind trust me i've been there and bought the tshirt. if you must use studio then make an avi with it but make sure you have the picvideo codec installed(you don't have to use this codec at all but it lets tsunami open the avi once rendered, if it isn't there, tsunami will tell you the avi is unsupported and will not open it.)use tsunami then to make your svcd - it's a much better quality mpeg

sorry,
only do the picvideo thing if your capturing analogue. if it's dv, you'll have no problems opening in tsunami
