SVCD: Troubles with 2 audio in BBMpeg. Success with I-Autor. Why?

Hello!
I'm trying to create SVCD with 2 audio channels. When I'm doing muxing and authoring in I-Autor, everything is ok (my player can read both). But when I'm trying to mux 2 audio with video in BBMpeg and author with Ulead DVD MovieFactory, my player can read only one. I'm doing muxing as stated by Mb1 in http://mb1svcd.hypermart.net/muxing.htm. I'm using bbmpg124 beta18.
Is this a problem of muxing or authoring program? Or I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

2 audio tracks

It might be MovieFactory that is ruining things for you. Do you know that it specifically supports 2 audio tracks? I recall someone else in this forum having a similar problem with MF.
MF might be seeing the second audio track as a "mistake" and "corrects" it during the authoring process. Either by muxing it right out of the mpg stream or manipulating the file header parameters so that the 2nd audio track is no longer recognized. I'm NOT confirming this theory, but just stating it as a possible explanation. FWIW

But which authoring program (except I-Author) definetely can work with 2-audio mpeg? VCDEasy? Nero?

Nero...

...definitely can. If your mpg file has 2 audio tracks Nero will accept it and not change anything. I have done this successully with Nero and TMPGenc.
Of course the authoring possibilites are not very flexible with Nero as compared to MF, but hey, you can't have everything.

Alex, try VCDEasy 1.1.2 instead ...

Mux with bbMPEG and author with VCDEAsy 1.1.2 ...

It would be best to burn also with vcdeasy (cdrdao).
Otherwise burn the image (cue/bin) either with cdrwin 3.xx or if no way is around Nero, then burn the cue/bin with Nero 5.5.9.9 ...

Maybe it can be also an issue if the mpg is located in the mpegav or mpeg2 folder ...

regards
mb1

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much!

As for MPEGAV and MPEG2 folders, my DVD player has no such issue, it accepts both type of SVCD discs.

Thanks again!
