i get perfect quality svcd when i use tmpg, but most of the time the sync is a little off when i burbed the movie. while the file on the computer hasn't got this problem.
do i use wrong cd's ? or is my dvd player not good ?
personally I never "burb" movies...its bad for my sinuses. Seriously though, synch issues in TMPGEnc are legion. It would be helpful to know if the sync issue occurs throughout the video, or if it is progressive and gets worse as the movie goes on.
In either case, you would be wise to demux the file, then unlock the feature that allows you to encode video only, and encode the video to SVCD specs.
Then remux the audio video. Doing that gives you a much better shot at audio synch.
I don't use TMPGEnc anymore, I use Procoder, but even that can get naughty occasionally and introduce a bit of synch issue. Demuxing is best.
