Guys!!
I haven't seen any thread mentioning the Vegas Video 3.0 from Sonic Foundry..I have been using it since last 6 months. It has very good mpeg encoder..It supports almost all the formats for editing, good capturing capability (DV & analog).IT produces best quility video. If anyone uses this software, I would like to know his/her personal experience using it. It is far better than Adobe premire, Ulead video studio...Try it out... and let me know..
Thanks

Vegas Video

I use Vegas Video 3.0 too and it's the best editor I've seen so far (Realtime preview, MC DV codec integrated, stable capturing and device control). However, I'm not impressed by the MPEG encoding. I've heard it is o.k. for DVD, but for DV -> SVCD it is not as good as CCE or Procoder or even LSX. And it's sloooo.

Question? Can Vegas peform similar functions a la VirtualDub filters, for example de-interlace and noise reduction and smoothers? Thanks.

Vegas....***the Sh!t***

Vegas is great. And most important: STABLE.
Off all the consumer products for video editing I've seen Vegas is the best.
It's also the only tool I now who can render the raw edited video into a Mpg 1 DVD which videopack can handle making 8.5 hours DVD +RW's !!!!

But last not least: Vegas has the best of the audio tools. It can use all of the directx plug ins known from the audio editing world. Per track and on the master.
So if you're into music, and you want to make video clips or concert registrations Vegas is the ****!
