Hello All!

Is avseqxx.mpg a standard mpeg on an svcd? I mean Is it possible to copy to HDD and can I play or edit it like a base mpeg file?

I dont think so, because all of my player, editor and utility answered incompatible file type.

How can i solve this problem?

Thanks!

These are fairly standard MPEG-2 files. You may not be able to play it because your PC may lack a MPEG-2 codec. You may not be able to edit it because your tools may only work with MPEG-1.

If you have a software DVD player like PowerDVD that lets you open individual files try playing it with that. If it plays through that but not Windows MediaPlayer then its a codec issue.

You cannot play the avseqxx files from a SVCD - they have a different header than standard mpeg2 data. There's a small tool cdxa2mpg to convert them back.
