My Hiteker DVD player can not play the SVCD that created by Nero. I don't know why. But it can play the SVCD that using following complicate method to create:
1. Using I-author to create image from a mpeg2 file.
2. Burn the image by using Easy CD Creator version 3.1(This DVD can not play any SVCD that created by later version either).
I do like to use Nero to burn the SVCD. Because it is much simpler. Can any body tell me if there is some secret?
Best guess is that your DVD player demands that the MPEG-2 video file be in the MPEGAV subdirectory (this is what I-Author does) instead of the standard MPEG2 subdirectory that Nero defaults to. Nero has an option where you can use MPEGAV instead. Use that and you should be OK.
I aslo have a Hiteker also and SVCD do not need the MPEGAV folder to run SVCD, MPEG2 folder works fine. Its just Nero sucks when it comes to burning SVCD's. Use VCDEasy from http://www.vcdeasy.org/ for all your SVCD MPEG or Cue/Bin file burning.
