tar file to svcd, problems

i have downloaded a file with the following extention
TS-FTF.CD1, i am fairly sure it is a tar file, which i have extracted using iso buster and i get the standard 5 folders cdi, ext, mpegav, segment and vcd.which seem to be on svcd's (i think)

i then converted the contents in mpegav to mpeg using the same program iso buster.

i then was told to get easy vcd and burn on to disc (cdr)but it keeps looking for the bin file.

can any body help as i am pulling out a lot of hair here and that is not good in my case.

thanks in advance.

In mpegav there should be .dat file. It is mpeg1 VCD file. Just use iso buster to get mpg from this dat file
No need to re-compres or anything
Use Nero to burn VCD

I think that both Nero and VCDeasy will accept the DAT file as is and it is not necessary to convert it back to MPG.

Nero will NOT accept dat

as it is not an mpeg 1 file. It is simply an encapsulated mpeg

if it is a SVCD then file in the "MPEGAV folder is just a Plain Mpeg2 file that can be burned useing any burning program that supports SVCD"s, But I don"t really know about if it were a VCD Cuz I haven"t ever done that with a VCD But I have done Quite a Few SVCD"s that way..
