Hey can anybody tell me how to setup power vcrII when encoding avi's that are wide screen so that the resulting mpg does not cut off the sides of the pic. i have tried all the different profiles that come in the pkg and either they cut off the pic on each side and top and bottom or they are not compliant in nero when you go to burn vcd. the non compliant burns will not play in my apex stand alone while compliants will. I'm using version 3.0 power vcrII deluxe. i'm new to this stuff so please talk laymans terms lol!

If you are encodeing WideScreen Movies and you are going to watch them on a Regular TV then you need to encode them with a 4:3 aspect ratio..And what ever you do Don"t use Power VCR to encode to mpeg with..Besides not being a Very good encoder it is Really buggy..Try useing Tmpgenc or if you know how to use it CCE...You will get much better results...
