Hello!

I have a LG DVD5073, i have made it region-free and vcd-capable.. but it won't play svcd's.

i have already tested that "hack", and yes, it did play the svcd but veeery crappy with bad and noisy sound and lagging picture.. and now to my Q...

How do i play svcd's succesfully in it? It must be possible somehow i think.

If you Really want to Play SVCD"s But cant get it to play them But you have no problems with VCD"s then you should try Burning the SVCD as a VCD..You do this by Changeing the header in the SVCD file to a VCD header which fools your player into thinking the disk is a VCD instead of a SVCD.It works on My player and many others.Or you can make XVCD"s..But It Just might not be possible for your player to play SVCD"s properly, I say that because you said you had to get a Firmware Hack to get it to play VCD/SVCD which means your DVD Player was originally meant to be Just a DVD player, so it probably only has a 1 or 2 speed Drive in it which isn"t really fast enough for a SVCD which runs at about 2-3 times speed, DVD"s only need a 1 speed drive and so do VCD"s...
