Which encoder to use

Hi,
I'm new to video editing and need advice on which is the best AVI-MPEG encoder. I'm editing with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and also have the TMPGEnc program. I'm planning on burning with my new copy of Nero.
Any input would be appreciated, as I'm almost finished with my first 25 min. video. I've heard mixed emotions about Adobe's encoder.
Thanks guys and gals,
Ronbo

Procoder is definitely the best but it takes too money to buy it. ...and the cracked version around has really some problems...
I think that Adobe Mpeg Encoder (from Mainconcept) will do the job with great quality if you encode from DV to DVD. All the encodes i've done from my holidays look great on my Loewe Aconda and that's enough for me.
Good work.

Well Depending on the source some encoders are better than others Given different sources...Of the Quality of the Source is Fairly good then CCE is Probably the way to go..It is the Best Mpeg2 encoder for Good sources and it is also the fastest..I get much better results with CCE than I do with the "Premier Mpeg encoder" from MainConcept..But if the source is Fairly dirty then ProCoder is Probably the best bet But it is Very slow, It can be used as a Plugin for Premier also as well as CCE can be a Plugin also...

I guess I should've mentioned

I'm capturing from my Sony DV camcorder, via Firewire, into my Sony laptop. So, CCE will work the best for my high quality source? How about the ProCoder that was mentioned?
Thanks to all who responded.

ProCoder Will give you exelent Results Especially with Dirty sources But with Good sources you couldn"t really tell the differance between the two and procoder is a Very Slow encoder, and CCE is a Very Fast encoder, But I guess you can Try both if you like and Make up your own mind ,Cuz You might find Situations were one encoder will Give you better results with Some files..There are Cracked Versions of Both floating around But Procoder is Harder to find in most cases and You have to Download the whole Program which is about 18mb were CCE is Just 2mb and the Crack is like 400kb......
