My setup is perfect for conv VHS to DVD. Now I connect a DV CAM, otherwise everything is identical, BOOM - trouble! I get the classic jerkyness of starting with the wrong frame!
Is there a stadard what frame to start with?? Is it unusual to have a VHS plyer that is the opposite of a DV CAM?
I will experiment but would still like to learn from the experienced.
I think what you need help with has Nothing to do with I frames or starting with the right frame But as was said you need to set the Field order Correctly..With DV it is Usually bottom field first..But On rare occations I have noticed that part way into the File the Field order will suddenly reverse it"s self and do it more than Once and It whis situation adjusting the field order won"t help a bit because it keeps changeing, in these very Rare Cases you would need a De-Interlace filter to fix the field order problems..But this Is probably not the case Cuz it only happens very rarely..
Thanks - tried it - Lucifer is right - something broke!

Did you try the De-Interlace filter?? I end up useing it with all My analog captures Cuz analog capture cards have a Habbit of reverseing the field order on you...
