I would like to split a 126 min DIVX movie into 2 parts, using Nero to make an SVCD disk. From my brief reading of some of the postings, I know many people say there is a great reduction in quality when using nero to encode, but all the hour long progs I burned as SVCDs have come out quite fine. I downloaded TMPgenc, but I noticed that it changed the ratio of the screen from theatre aspect to TV. I would like to maintain the originalscrren size. Is there no way of splitting the file using Nero alone? I've been through the documentation, gone to the website, and pulled down & clicked every button in the program itself, but the concept of cutting a file seems to be alien to them. Pleeeze Help!
You will have to cut the AVI in 2 parts cuz Nero will not do anything besides encode Crappy Quality movies..There are settings in Tmpgenc to keep the aspect ratio on the original AVI file, there are settings for every aspect of the video so you can"t just load the file in tmpgenc and press start and have it come out the way you want, you have to adjust the settings to the way you want the movie to come out, Tmpgenc has an editor to Cuz Mpeg files But that won"t help when useing nero ..You can cut the AVI in half with Virtual Dub and encode the movie in 2 parts..
