After Encoding My VOB's and stuff into SVCD Mpeg2 I realised?

Well after i had already encoded the DVD into a Mpeg2 i had deleted the VOB's and IFO files and my Cousin had takin the DVD back to his house and i really wanted to add subtitles but because i was in a rush i just encoded it and forgot, now i'm stuck with this mpeg 2 but i'm trying to figure out a simple method of puting subtitles on it please share if you know how thankyou.

This isn"t exactly My area Of expertise Cuz I hate Subtitles But you can Download subtitle files off the Net then use the File to add the Subtitles..You will Probably have to convert the Mpeg to AVI or Frame serve the Mpeg file to the Program that adds the subtitles to the AVI file, I can"t remember the Name of the Subtitle Program It might be called "Sub Station Alfa" and the Subtitle file you download should be in the format the it uses..Someone else here should have a Better description of how to do it....
