I just made a SVCD in NTSC format and cut it in half with Tempenc and it played fine before burning it added it to Nero and it never came up with an error but burnt fine then this lousy message came up saying. "The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation.?" in Power DVD and I have installed ASPI drivers and stuff but not knowing why the SVCD won't play? Any Answers please reply

So you get the error in Power DVD???? Did you try it in your DVD Player????I know if you burn it at too high of a Speed then you can get Errors on the Disk that can cause certain Playback problems...Try takeing the Mpeg file off the SVCD and Play it on your Computer and see if it Plays correctly..I didn"t know that Power DVD Can Play SVCD"s from a CD-R, I guess I just never tried......

I have the same problem. It's all over the net but no one posted any solutions yet. I know is not my burner because I installed it on another PC running XP and it worked right away. I did the firmware upgrade on the burner, and also tried different programs to play the DVDs. Same thing. Mine it's an Emprex Dual 4x. It burns fine, but it just doesn't want to read (when in my pc) Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Just a guess - when you edit files with TMPGenc, you need to remux them prior to burning. If you don't, what you save after editing is not in the correct format for SVCD
and this might be your problem.
