Hi friends,
I need help. I got a card for receiving TV SAT on PC and for recording programs on HD.
Well, I saw that recorded MPEG2 files have sometimes suffix m2s and sometimes m2p and that's impossible importing them into authoring programs without conversion into *.mpg (by a program in bundle with card).
Are converted files still MPEG2?
I tried to put converted files on a DVD by WORKSHOP but audio/video are shifted 2-3 sec. Is it possible to solve this problem?
On the contrary Maestro doesn't recognize converted files, may be because audio and video must be separeted? Is there a way to separate audio from video?
Many thanks
They aren"t really Mpeg files Captured From a Satalite Card ,They are Mpeg2 Transport streams and they Drop frames at times that is why they go out of sync, you have to use a Program like PV Strumento to Make them into True Mpeg2 files and Fix the sync problem Cuz there is Info in the Captured file that tells PV Strumento were you dropped the frames and how many and compensates for it....
If you need to separate your audio and video streams,
you must demultiplex (also called "demux"). Many
programs can do this. You might look for BBTools, which
is free. It contains BBDMUX which can demux your
file into separate audio and video streams.
