copying svcd to svcd?

Hi all,
Being trying to copy a svcd as a backup with mixed results. I tried doing a cd copy with nero. It works fine on the PC lite on burnern and my toshida dvd player, however it will not work on the cd rom in work PC (yes it has the mpeg-2 codec installed) or some other stand alone dvd players.
Can someone recommend the best way & method to copy a svcd successfully?
Thanks!

Your post isn't clear about what your problem is. Did you
have trouble burning the SVCD or is the problem that what
you burned won't play? Those are 2 completely different
problems.

What I would do to Copy a SVCD is just Take the Mpeg file off the Original SVCD and Burn it as a SVCD.. or you can use the Copy CD Function in Nero...

I had some problems copying a scratched SVCD disc once and found that it worked best by first making a CD image file with Blindwrite suite (worked better than CloneCD) and then extract the mpg from the imagefile with VCDEasy, then remux the mpg (demux with tmpgenc, mux with bbmpeg) and at last burn with Nero or VCDEasy.

Blidwrite suite is better than many other programs to extract SVCD images, at least it was one year ago when I had this problem.

It was a little bit strange that if I just burned the extracted image directly to a new disc then I had playback problems but no problems after extracting mpg, remuxing and burning as new SVCD. Perhaps there still was some errors which was fixed by remuxing. I also had audio sync problems on the directly copied SVCD but no synch problems on the extracted and remuxed one.
