in a desperate attempt to try to find an answer for my problem, i'm begging anyone here to help if they can ...
i have two avi files that i want to a) watch on my computer and b) burn to cdr. my problem is that for some reason my computer won't play avi files ... and i can't get them to burn to cdr because everytime i try to my computer freaks out and tells me that i don't have enough memory. now, i'm not trying to fix that last problem, at this point in time i'm just trying to find out how i can actually watch the avi files onmy computer or, if anyone knows, where i can find a divx codec thing so i can convert the files to vcd or svcd files in order to be burnt and watched on a dvd player.
if anyone can help, please, i beg of you, get in touch by either posting a reply or emailing me on fickwalker@optusnet.com.au
You really need to fix the memory problem ASAP. Memory
is real cheap right now. Well, it is in the USA. Don't
know about Australia. If you are going to get into
making your own VCDs or DivX, etc., you simply must
make sure you have adequate memory. If you are on a
limted income, I recommend 256 MB minimum, but 512 MB
is better.
