I recently obtained an SVCD that has puzzled me. It won't run in my DVD player, which is a Pioneer DV-545, and does everything - having run previous SVCDs, both backup and retail.
However, this SVCD, does not work whatsoever.
I insterted it into my computer, extracted the AVSEQ01.MPG video file using Isobuster, and tried to run it - but to no avail. I then went and downloaded and installed an SVCD codec and some Visual Basic files of some nature, which I was told may be necessary.
Thanks to this, I got sound, but Windows Media Player (the LATEST version, definetely, for Win2000 SP3) still wouldn't give me a picture.
So, I tried to use Nero to create an SVCD from the file, but I received the following error:
-Stream Encoding which is invalid with [S]VCD
I tried it with the VCD format too, but received the same error, and another one - Obvious, really:
-Invalid Video stream: 29.97 frames/second, 480 x 480 pixels
The file will also not open in TMPEGEnc or VirtualDub.
Is there a solution to this problem? A way of repairing the SVCD? If so, is it an xSVCD or something? And how would I go about burning that to disc?
