I convert avi to mpg2 and it is to big. I cut film with TPMGEnc (mpg tools) but file is biger (about 30sec) and last sequence ( this 30 sec) have no sound? Is another tool to cut mpg?
Or bbmpeg. Set max file size and multiplex audio and video. (You can first demux in tmpgenc). BBmpeg will automatically cut at the max filesize, which is nice when making SVCD. You can fit 800 MB file on one 80 min CD-R when burning as SVCD.
Is it really that simple just to set the max size to 800MB for a 80min CD. That means bbMpeg will auto split a 2Gb mpeg2 file to 3 smaller files (800mb for the first and second, 400mb for the third). Or set the max to 750mb and split to (1)750mb (2)750mb and (3) 500mb. Sounds like a great way to maximize use of CD space. No more guess work with tmpgenc's cutting tools!
cutting with womble mpeg2vcr is very easy, but i don't know how i can use the batch-save-manager! i tried to rename the project-file (*.wme) to *.rec (to load it into the batch-save-manager), but nothing happened! is there anybody who has an idea?
Yes, bbmpeg is a simple way to cut at a set filesize. It's the same method that DVD2SVCD used when I tried that program one year ago. It's also a very good multiplexer for SVCD so I use to multiplex and cut at the same time with bbmpeg.
