Does anyone know how to convert the CL DVCR MPG2 files to VCD or Mpeg1 without the sound sync problems. I have tried everything and wasted a few days trying different approaches.
This is what I did with my first approach...
1. export the mpeg2 from the DCVR
2. split the mpeg2 with dvd2avi to format the file for use in tmpeg.
3. use tmpeg encoder to encode to a mpeg1 file.
At this point I have notice that if the mpeg2 file is longer than 45 minutes my sound in the encoded file starts to get out of sync.
I tried splitting up the mpeg2 file into smaller exported mpeg2 files, but the audio is still out of sync. I think it may have to do with the audio format or the video frame rate.
I am sure someone else has run it to this problem as well ????
This can be fixed By useing a Good audio editor to Adjust the length of the audio to the length of the Video..I use either "Sound Forge" to do this or I use the audio editing features in "Vegas Video 3"..You can even load your Out of sync Mpeg file into Vegas Video and the audio and Video will come up in the Time line and you will se that one is longer than the other and you can change the length on the time line and export the adjusted audio to a Mpeg audio file that you just need to mux with the video after demuxing the Out of sync audio...
