please be MORE specific

does your STOP mean that:
1) the final frame is frozen forever?
2) that the DVD displays the default screen?
3) the movie ends and the DVD returns to the main menu?
4) that the DVD player crashes and you must cycle power just to open the drive door?

Have watched the VOBs that are on your hard drive to ensure they play to the end?

Have you checked how much space is required by the project?

Have you checked how much space is left on the DVDR?just some ideas

A DVD-R is written from the core outwards. With my Pioneer DVR-104 and certain brands of DVD-R (e.g. Ritek at 2X), as the disk approaches being full so that the laser is writing to the fast-spinning outer rim of the disk, the burn quality decreases to a point where the disk becomes unreadible.

If this is your problem (does it only happen with almost-full disks?) then you could try burning at a lower speed (if you arent at 1X) on better-quality disks. For the Pioneer, at least, upgrading to the most recent firmware helps too.

It is not true

(the bit about firmware upgrade) if one considers Pioneer 105.
"Good" firmware is still 1.00 (not latest 1.21)
