I am using a registered Tmpgenc Plus 2.51 to demux, and multiplex my svcd compliant mpeg 2 files. I have to do this because I have an ATI AIW radeon 7500 card. I have no problems demultiplexing them, remultiplexing them, but when I try to split them up to put on multiple CD's the scroll bat in the merge/cut section of mpeg tools is greyed out, I cant even put a start or end point number in.
I have simular set up to you. ATI card, MMC7.6, tmpgenc plus....etc.
I too use tmpgenc to make my captures VCD or SVCD compliant, but I don't use tmpgenc's editor in any way, shape or form. There are some bugs with it that causes it to freeze. I'm not 100% sure that this is one of those bugs, but I recommend using Womble'mpeg2vcr program to edit or split your captures. This program can be used before or after you run it through tmpgenc.
You need to Have The Proper Mpeg2 decoders installed before the Editor will work , and even if it did work the edited files would Probably be out of Sync Cuz the Merge & Cut is Very Buggy, do as was said before and use a Different Mpeg editor like Womble Mpeg2VCR...
