Problem with Videostudio 7 capture

I'm trying out VS7 and have an ATI AIW 8500DV card which has worked fine. I connect my Canon camcorder to the firewire and when I hit the 'Capture' button, VS7 tries to tune in the TV and then crashes.
I'm not able to get to the point where I can tell the software to use the dv, not the tv tuner.
How can I ever capture if I can't get to this point?

UVS7 can autoselect vfw for .avi and ATI theater for SVCD.
Try selecting DV or something alike and see if it opens your cameraconnection.

VS7 Capture

Thanks, I first had to reinstall and then select DV from another program.
Funny but it won't capture TV (not that I care). It tries to and quickly shows a channel and then locks up.
Anyway, it's working fine now and I kind of like the simplicity of this program. Better than VS6.
