problems when decoding audio

for converting from avi to mpg I use TMPGEnc. But when I try converting some avi's I get the error:

an error occurred when audio is decoded

Can somebody please help me with this error??

Best guess - you're converting DivX with 48 KHz audio. TMPGenc is a poor audio decoder and it has problems with 48 KHz audio. Use something like BeSweet to convert from 48 to 44 KHz and only use TMPGenc to process your video and to mux the final video and audio together.
