Videostudio 7 and bitrate settings

I've just started fooling with VS7 and the docs stink. I don't see anywhere that you can set the bitrate settings. Is this automatic depending on the movie length?
I've tried a 28 minute movie and the final quality was better than DVD Workshop and Studio 8 but I worry about longer movies.
Appreciate the info

Paul

When You creat video file
select"custom"item(in the bottom)-->"option" then you can choose SVCD and what bitrate you want to setting.
