svcd conversion to dvd-r

please can someone help i want a sure fire way of convering all them svcd onto dvd-r ive read all the guides the prob is when i join two svcd together they are always out sync or other is there not a easy prog that allows my svcd to go straight on to dvd-r without conversion and what is the best prog to join them svcd clips if any body has a straight sure fire guide that would be super thanks.

The best program I have used for joining clips is MPEG2VCR, also sometimes called Womble. You can get it at http://www.womble.com. Unfortunately it costs $249 US unless you can find a "demo" (wink wink) copy.
