This program has been nothing short of abysmal since I blew 45 bucks to d/l it. Anything it touches has severe sync problems. Starts off a half a second then a few minutes later is off by almost an entire scene. As well pixelation is an issue with this program. Is my only option to encode separately from ulead to correct the audio and pixel probs? TMPGENC is really slow but if that is my only option then so be it.
Even though this Program does Encode it shouldn"t be used as an encoder..You are better off useing a Real Encoder to encode your Files and Just used Ulead to Author and burn them to Disk..And you are Not stuck with Tmpgenc, there are Other encoders that will Produce VCD/SVCD/DVD with as good or better Quality than Tmpgenc and in 1/5 the time it takes to encode with Tmpgenc..Like the MainConcept encoder will Produce Good Quality Mpeg1/2 files and encode them really Fast compared to Tmpgenc, and For Mpeg2 files one of the best encoders to use is CCE which is Probably the fastest encoders there is....
Ok, next question. Are there any freeware versions of these encoders available anywhere that you are aware of? I noticed that MainConcept has a demo version that sticks a watermark in finished product. Does that mean that Ulead won't be able to burn the finished product? And CCE is a little too expensive for my blood. I might look on p2p to find some of these progs. Thanks for the help. If anyone else knows of freeware versions please let me know.
Most software can be found for free or at a greatly reduced price, E-Mail Me and I"ll try to hook you up with something depending on if you want to encode Mpeg1/VCD or Mpeg2/SVCD/DVD....see ya
