hi, i just downloaded some svcd movies and most of them are in English and Germany. I previewed them using PowerDVD and they are in German. How do i swith them to English audio because i want to watch them in my stand alone DVD Player. What setting in my player do i have to go into to switch them to English. I have a feeling that after i burned them and play them in my stand alone player that it will be German but i don't know how to swith them to English audio. Any help from anyone here. thanks in advance

Out of curiosity, what makes you think you have the English audio in your download as well as the German?

This is a difficult question. I don't know if PowerDVD will play multiple audio channels on SVCD. I've never tried it. There is a button on the PowerDVD control panel that looks like a speaker, I think, and it switches to the next audio channel. If your DVD player supports multiple audio channels on SVCD, and some do not, you should be able to simply push a button on your remote control and go to the next audio channel. I think it's unlikely that your SVCDs have German and English audio. SVCD bit rates are pretty low as it is and they are far too valuable to waste on encoding multiple audio channels. It can be done, but each audio channel steals bits that could be better used by the video.

You should be able to take the Mpeg/Vob files off of the Disk then demux the Files to the Video and audio tracks then just remux it with Just the English track(If you don"t want German) and Burn it back to disk...

If you open the IFO files in your miniDVD with IFO Edit (http://www.doom9.net and other places), you can see exactly how many audio channels you have. If PowerDVD is refusing to switch audio channels on what you are playing, it may be because there is only one audio channel.
