hi, just downloaded a SVCD and its got 2 folders, cd 1 and cd2 and in them its got lots of .rar files and a .SFV file each. what am i surpost to do with these?
if you think they are going to suddenly work then keep trying, i guess.
corrupt rar's is a pretty common problem though. a quick thing to check is file size. in each set, every single file except the very last one (smaller) must be exactly the same size. i mean exact to the byte. one byte bigger or littler on even one file and its tits up for the whole thing. if you have one that is odd size, try re-downloading. often times they are up-loaded correctly, but boogered up in download.
some people upload par files that you can use to fix broken rar's. so if you ever see par files with a download, always grab them.
I downloaded an SVCD file too, and i was trying to unzip the rar files but they all have the same names i guess cause after the first one , it's asking me if i wanna write over the exsisting files? should i just say no? or will that affect the movie!!? thanx
the files are all different names...
just open one of them and unzip, it should automatically work...
as for which one, the first or last file will do...
if you do it the other way overwriting each time...
it just unzips each file for each packaged file you have...
a good 8-16 hours wasted on slower pc's...
