hello all!

I am the webmaster for the band 'primitive reason'.

I am trying to stream their new video online because of many fan requests....

I have no clue! The music video is a VOB file which play in the DivX player, I've tried every program to convert it to a streamable file but the sound always distorts..(DVD2AVI, Amigo DVD Ripper, Super DVD Ripper, etc.)

Whats the best way, filesize, filetype, codec, settings, etc., to use for a music video...please help!

I appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

peace and blessings to all!

http://www.vcdhelp.com has some guides on converting video from one format to another. I don't know anything about streaming it, but converting is usually not so hard. By the way, VOB is simply a type of MPEG-2 video used for DVD.

If you want to stream the File over the Net then AVI or Mpeg is Not the Format that is Best, Both Formats use to much Bandwidth to Stream efficiently unless every one who watches it has a Fast Broadband connection..I would sugest something like "WMV" for Web streaming Cuz the File size is Very small so it uses as Little Bandwidth as Possible and the Quality is Pretty Good even at Low Bitrates Pluss this Format is Very compatible as anyone with Media player will be able to watch it...You can use "Windows Media Encoder" to encode the File....
