svcd's menu help needed badly

Hello,

I have looked at similar posts but none seem to be asking the same thing as i am asking.

Here is what i want to do, i'll give a rough example later. I want to be able to create a vcd/svcd and have a menu that will have thumbnails of the whats on the svcd. I am not looking for these thumbnails to be animated or to have chapters for the eps. What i would like to be able to do is to select part of an episode (like the opening credits) and use that as the background menu.

For example. A few months ago I downloaded a few buffy svcd's off the newsgroups. Each cd had a menu that had two items to select. One being the main episode and the other being next weeks promo. Up to this point I can do with nero without a problem. What i liked about the svcd's was once you put it in, the main menu used the opening credits of the show as an video or animated background instead of a still image. I opened the image file to see if they included the opening credits seperatly but they did not, they didn't even supply a promo, just one video file, so it looks like both the video menu and promo was both clips of the main video and the main video played without the promo at the end.

Thanks In Advanced for any help.

Ulead DVD Movie Factory2 allows you to add thumbnails on your menu page. This software allows you to author VCD, SVCD and DVD's with thumbnail menu's.
You can put whatever part of the video you want as the thumbnail pic.
A little more info here:

Hope this helps...

thanks but that's not what i am really looking for

thanks but thumbnails are not really what i am trying to do, i really don't care if my menu has thumbnails or just the episode name written.

What i am trying to do is go from a still image background to a video image background. So when you put the dvd in, it goes to the menu but there's video and sound playing while it waits for you to make your choice.

thanks
ryan

What you are Talking about are "Motion Menu"s" and yes they are Possible But you actually have to have the Animated Menu on your PC or use a seperate Program to Make the Motion Menu, You can use "Ulead DVD Workshop" to Make a SVCD That has Motion menu"s, you can even use it to create a simple Motion menu...
