I used the Premiere 6.5 to capture the VHS movie to the hd and output it as svcd using CCE 2.67.00.17. The final result was UPSIDE DOWN. Anyone know what is wrong. I tried DVD2SVCD and result was same.
Here was my setup:
1. Analog from VHS output from VCR to input/output of Sony PC100 for avi source to dv source.
2. Firewird from Sony to Pinnalce video card and capture it with Adobe Premiere 6.5.
3. Output as the SVCD movie using CCE 2.67.00.13 plugin. I tried 2 pass CBR, and VBR they both give me the UPSIDE DOWN svcd.
4. And then I tried the SVCD from the list, you know what, the result was normal (not upside down)
Well the CCE premier Plugin has allways Been a Bit Buggy, It is best to either Render your Project in Premier as an AVI file then encode it in the CCE Standalone Version or to use the "Premier Video Server Plugin" and Frameserve the project from premier to CCE standalone Version......

what that if from is a codec problem. your watching it in Mediaplayer right? check your system for the Elecard codec and remove it. Try another small test encode, that should help. I had the same problem way back and it was a mixture of a bunch of Divx codecs and this Elecard codec.

"If you installed the Nimo codec pack ... and just did a full installation it will install a g400 filter (Can't remember the exact name) that, unless you have a g400 video card, will flip all your videos upside-down and on some hardware backwards too. Me thinks you might have done this, in which case, just unregister the filter with the "regsvr32 /u [filtername]". The filter should be in the folder where nimo was installed, but to find the exact file you can use graphedit and look at the filter properties. I also remember that there is another problomatic filter installed with nimo, but I can't remember what it is.
