Which audiocodec do I need?

I´ve just bought a new notebook. When I play certain Divx files there is no sound, although the sound is OK when I play the same files on another PC. I have the Divx 5.1 codec installed. Which audiocodec do I need and where can I find it?
Thanks in advance.

You probably need AC3.
To become shure download GSpot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
GSpot is freeware, it analyzes your avi-file and tells you, which video respectively audio codec is needed.
