I am a little confused what the difference is between just burning a mpeg file by itself vs. making a cue/bin with the vcd/svcd file structure. I have been using dvd2svcd to make svcd and I burn cue/bin and everything works fine. If I download a mpeg file I use VCDEasy to make cue/bin. But sometimes if I download small mpegs I have burned the mpegs directly and in my dvd player I can choose which file to play. BUT when I get small avi files and convert them to mpeg and then burn them directly it plays back blocky/skips. When I make a cue/bin out of the same small mpeg, then it plays ok. What is it that downloaded mpegs work ok when burned directly, but not avi converted to mpeg ones. I know how to use VCDEasy to put multiple small bins on one disc, but then it plays as one long file. So on some occasions I like just burning the mpegs so I can choose them thru dvd player.
Maybe your Converting and Burning method isn"t very good..As I have found the Opposite to be True..I have Found that Most of the Mpeg Movies I have Downloaded had some sort of Problem when Playing on a DVD Player But Files that I have Made Myself work Great.....
